Italeri 1/24 Lancia Fulvia HF Rally Montecarlo 1972 (3670)

Today we are going to check together Italeri 1/24 Lancia Fulvia HF Rally Montecarlo 1972 (3670). Kit comes as new-tooled set molded in popular scale. Car itself doesn't need an extra introduction and should be fun to build for all fans of classic rally. For me it is interesting to see what is actually copied here as manufacturer is very proud of the new design, but who knows what expects us inside. Overall packaging is typical, so all frames are sealed into separate plastic bags. Let's open them and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with another Lancia from the same brand.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.

We are going to start with grey sprue which carries mix of parts. Here you will find wheel rims, engine with gearbox, exhaust and even safety cage. All of those are looking nice and deserve a good paintwork.

Next one is the black sprue with large floor panel. Italeri also placed some of the subframes and suspension parts for your Lancia.

Interior elements look fine, both seats are molded as one-piece parts. Dashboard will get separate decals for each dial.

Next is a red frame with some of the external panels. Bonnet is molded separately, and can be opened or closed even on the finished model.

Car body is also molded out of red plastic. Doors are molded in, and panel lines are not too deep, so it might be good to enhance them.

The same applies to fuel tank cover, which is really shallow and barely visible on the clean part. You will also find some pushmarks on the roof interior of the model.

Chrome parts look okay for out of the box build.

Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Molding quality looks great, but there are no masks included here.

Vinyl tires look okay for the standard build. I wonder if we will see aftermarket upgrade for this part of the car.

Small unpainted PE fret should be handy for some fine features on the model. Some parts will require installation with tweezers.

Decals are printed in Cartograf, so you don't have to worry about possible quality issues. Note that even seatbelts are replicated this way. Assembly manual is typical for Italeri and I show all pages in the video-review.

New kit is already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a good choice for experienced modeler. Some of the areas look particularly tricky, so experience will be needed. Moreover, other brands offer a bit more streamlined design, but none of them can offer Italian racecars like this one. I also hope that there will be more aftermarket available for small Lancia so you can add more features to the build.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR DONATIONS WHICH MADE THIS REVIEW POSSIBLE!

Pros
