Miniart 1/35 G7107 Cargo Truck with Ben Hur Trailer (35372)

This article will tell you more about Miniart 1/35 G7107 Cargo Truck with Ben Hur Trailer (35372). As you can guess from the name, one box brings you two kits molded in the same scale. Such a combo might be interesting for modelers who would like to have their own diorama with the famous truck. I reviewed the sets in their separate issues, but it will be interesting to see what is new here. Overall packaging is typical, so all frames are packed into one plastic bag. Let's open them and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with the solo trailer release.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.

First large frame carries some of the truck bits. Here you will find some of the suspension elements as well as the separate bonnet. The smaller frame carries raised side panels for the trailer.

Roadwheels for both are molded out of plastic, and you can see them on the photos above and below. Separate doors should be useful for showing what is inside the cab.

Front frames can be assembled either out of plastic or out of PE. On the photo above you can see templates for shaping the metal parts.

Front cab should be glued out of separate panels. Overall design is quite logical, so I don't think you will have any issues here.

Engine is still in the box. It can be useful for some project ideas, and as you remember bonnet is molded separately and can be opened.

Truck main chassis should be assembled out of separate bars. It might be a good idea to check the fitment of those during the assembly.

Trailer cover should be assembled out of several sections. Surface details look fine, but you will have to carefully join everything together to get a nice look.

Note that both truck and trailer can be assembled in open or covered versions. This might be useful for some diorama ideas.

Trailer is divided into several panels. Side parts are molded together with leaf springs.

Instrument panel looks fine and deserves a nice paintwork. Might be also worth checking some reference photos.

Rear bed is simple in its design, just like on the real truck. I saw some projects where modelers tried to show that this section gets beaten appearance.

Rear cover is finished in the same style as what we saw on the trailer. Surface features look great and deserve a nice paintwork.

Clear frame is packed separately. Molding quality looks great, but there are no masks included in the box.

Unpainted PE fret looks fine, this is typical Miniart bonus. Some parts are quite small and will require special tools.

Decals are printed in Cartograf, so you don't have to worry about any quality issues. All marking options can be seen on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

New truck combo should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is an interesting option for modelers who would like to get more stuff in one box. Yes, figurines are still to be bought separately, but overall quality looks great. Moreover, I like Miniart attention to small features as it would be a great addition in this scale. The only thing to remind you is that such kit is definitely not for beginners, so be sure to have the right skills before starting the project.
