This review is dedicated to Pen and Sword P-51 Mustang book from Peter Saxton. As the name suggests, whole book is dedicated to the famous aircraft. Here it is more focused on the performance analysis and what exactly made this type effective in the air. I should note that this book follows up on the previous release which was focused on Mosquito performance and Special Operations. New publication is not that big, there are only 136 pages inside. I reviewed the digital version, but it won't stop us from checking what is actually featured inside. :)
By the way, here you can read review with another book about this famous aircraft.

Watch this video-review where I show even more pages in the book.
We start with contents page, where you can notice that there are 11 chapters placed in chronological order. Pages count is not that big, so it should be easy to read through all those.
Note that format is quite spacious, at least in digital version, so you don't get text piled up in all empty spots. I wouldn't say this is a gallery book, as there are only few illustrations like the ones shown below.
New book should be already available for purchase. Price should be set at 20GBP. As it was written before, this is not exactly the gallery publication, but more of thoughtful analysis of the performance. While Mustang doesn't require some extra introduction, it might be handy to understand why this type was vital for late-war operations. Moreover, here we get some evaluation against adversaries, what can help you build a bit more solid picture of this aircraft type. Now the only question is which next aircraft will be featured in the book from Peter Saxton. :)
