This article is dedicated to ICM 1/72 M8A1 US Landing Mat (72216). New release copies the special surface which can be handy for displaying your aircraft project. The whole idea is simple - combine panels together, paint and weather them, and as result get a useful add-on for your diorama. As all six parts are exactly the same, I will show you only one of them. Whole panel is solid and features nice surface details. Those should benefit from preshading and washings applied. Assembly manual is simple, and I show both pages in the video-review.

New kit should be already available for purchase. ICM went from large scale to the smaller ones, and all of them are equally handy for displaying the model. Moreover, you can get two of these sets and combine them together for even bigger surface. I would recommend to find some wooden base where you will be able to glue those panels, and maybe also to study some reference photos for better look.
