Miniart 1/48 P-47D-22RE Thunderbolt The Duxford Eagles (48049)

This review will tell you more about Miniart 1/48 P-47D-22RE Thunderbolt The Duxford Eagles (48049). Set comes as "Basic Kit", so you won't get additional build options or markings, but for some modelers it should be enough. I reviewed the previous versions, so it will be interesting to see what is included here out of the box. Overall packaging is typical for this brand, and all frames are sealed into one plastic bag. Let's open them all and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with another Thunderbolt from the same brand.

First two frames are dedicated to the engine and various external bits. Wing mechanization is separate here, what might be handy for some build ideas.

Miniart also supplies nice set of the external equipment which can be placed on your Thunderbolt. Landing gear wheels look fine, but there is also a choice from aftermarket available.

Cockpit parts come on the separate frame. Note that premolded features look great and deserve a nice paintwork.

Propeller should be glued out of two parts, but those will be easy to align together.

Wing halves come on their own frame. Overall design is classic and fitment should be fine as there is smart guiding elements system.

Both fuselage halves come with tail fin and without rudder. Cowling should be also assembled separately around the engine.

Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Molding quality looks great and you can open cockpit on your model. There are no masks in the kit, so be sure to get the set.

Decals are printed in Cartograf, and printing quality looks great. There are all necessary symbols for several marking options which you can see below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

New release should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great choice for modelers who would like to have their own copy of the famous "Jug". Yes, it comes without PE and some assembly options, but even this version can offer a lot. Moreover, there is quite a wide choice of aftermarket, so you should be able to add some tuning if you are eager to spend more. :)
