This article will tell you more about Beemax 1/24 BMW 320i BTCC 1996 Winner (40). New kit comes as fresh release from the famous brand in popular scale. Plastic copies the E36 generation of the German car and can be an interesting project for modelers who would like to have one in their collection. Kit is marked as new-tooled, so it might be worth checking on what is included inside. Overall packaging is typical for this brand, and all frames come in the separate plastic bags. Let's open them all and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with another BMW car in the same scale.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.
First frame comes with some interior bits. Here you will find safety cage sections as well as dashboard and steering wheel.
On the next sprue you can actually see driver's seat and some of the suspension parts too. Whole exhaust is molded as one-piece element.
Brake rotors are molded as one-piece elements with brake calipers. Such design will require careful paintwork, but it is doable.
Car body shell is molded as one-piece element. Yes, all doors and bonnet and trunk are molded shut, and you can't open them.
Note that headlamps are premolded and you just need to add clear parts here. Such design will require some masking to be done, so be ready for this.
Wheel rims have their own sprue. Overall quality looks fine, but again you will have to do some masking here.
Floor panel has some premolded features, but don't expect something unusual here. Well, at least fuel tank is molded separately. :)
Interiors in Beemax kits are usually enough for standard build, but also offer plenty of chances for additional features. This one is not an exclusion from the rule as you can see on the photo above.
Front and rear bumpers are molded separately as well as rear wing. Kit offers "civil" steering wheel too, but of course you will have to use the racing one.
Chrome kindey grille looks fine for this scale. Surprisingly there are no other chrome parts in the kit.
Clear parts include all necessary areas. Note that all windows are molded into one-piece element.
Yes, masks are supplied out of the box, and this is really great bonus for nice paintwork on the model.
Vinyl tires look okay, but again don't offer something special.
Take a careful look at the boxart and you will notice that rear rims are covered with turbines. Those will be replicated with help of PE parts.
I was surprised to see that there are three decals sheets in this kit. All of them are printed in nice quality.
Cockpit decals are also here, and it might be enough for a nice build.
Note that middle line is supplied in several versions. As you can see on the color-printed marking guide below, kit suggests only one combination.
Box also features pictures of the finished model. I recommend to find photos of the real car.
Assembly manual is printed in black-and-white. You can check all pages in the video-review.
New BMW should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great copy of the famous car generation. Out of the box you are getting nice plastic together with some useful bonuses inside. Overall quality looks fine, and there is plenty of space for some additional improvements too. As far as I remember, Beemax even offers additional PE as separate product. Nevertheless, even masks and PE are nice to see in standard package here.
THANK YOU FOR DONATIONS WHICH MADE THIS REVIEW POSSIBLE!Pros
