Miniart 1/35 Raupenschlepper OST RS0/01 Early Prod. (35478)

This review will tell you more about Miniart 1/35 Raupenschlepper OST RS0/01 Early Prod. (35478). New set comes as yet another impressive release from the famous manufacturer. It is molded in popular scale, so you can use it for some diorama ideas. For me it is interesting due to unusual look and also Miniart approach to the features out of the box. Overall packaging is classic, so all frames come sealed in one plastic bag. Let's open them all and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with truck model in the same scale.

Watch this video where I show all parts even closer.

First we see parts for the front cab and rear bed. Note also separate track sections which should look more convincing on the finished model.

Front cab design is quite logical, so you will have to glue separate panels together. Note also doors which can be positioned open if necessary.

Separate track links is something you won't be able to avoid, but whole process should be relatively straightforward. On the photo you can also see special frames which can be installed for the open option.

Roadwheels are molded as single-piece parts, and look great. Attachment points are thin and shouldn't make any problems during separation.

Both seats are molded as one-piece elements. Here you can also see floor panels for the front cab.

Rear panels don't have wooden texture, but deserve careful weathering on them. Drive sprockets are quite fine, yet will require some attention with attachment points between teeth.

Engine should be assembled out of several parts, and you can also add some wiring there too. Miniart gives the assembly option where the powerplant will be visible.

Another option is to have covered rear section. This might look complicated as you will have to join separate panels, but whole thing should be doable.

As usual for this brand, you get quite detailed suspension too. Be careful with small and thin parts as those will require some due care.

Clear frame is packed in a separate plastic bag together with PE fret. Overall molding quality looks great, but there are no masks included in the kit.

PE fret is not that big, but you will get some fine parts to install on your model.

Decals sheet is not that big, but comes from Cartograf, so quality looks great. All marking options can be seen on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

Whole set looks like a great alternative to all this tanks we are used to see in 1/35 scale. In my opinion Miniart did a great job, and whole model should be fun to build. Moreover, there are plenty of assembly options which might be handy for some diorama ideas. Overall quality is great, and there are only minor things to worry about. You can also add a bit of wiring here and there for even more advanced appearance.
