Meng 1/72 M2A3 Bradley w/BUSK III (72-005)

This time I will tell you more about Meng 1/72 M2A3 Bradley w/BUSK III (72-005). Model comes as small scale release from the famous brand. I reviewed the bigger model from Meng, so it will be interesting to see what is offered in reduced kit. Overall packaging is typical, so let's open it and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with bigger model of this vehicle.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.

First frame comes with tracks and roadwheels. Plastic tracks will come in handy for a nice appearance of your vehicle and overall ease of painting and weathering.

External armor panels are supplied as separate sections. Overall design looks similar to what we received in the bigger scale version.

More panels come on the next sprue together with some drivetrain parts. Overall molding quality looks great and it should be easy to manage one-piece elements.

Turret should be assembled out of separate parts, but be careful with small parts as there are no spares included. Hatches are molded separately and can be opened on your model.

One of the important features in the kit is the separate hatch which can be open on your build. Such thing might be useful for some diorama ideas.

Premolded features look great and deserve careful weathering and painting. Note that overall molding quality looks great out of the box.

Lower and top hull sections should be assembled in a different ways. Large guiding elements should help you with alignment.

Yes, suspension arms are premolded, so you will get the right alignment out of the box.

Clear frame is packed in the separate plastic bag. Molding quality is great, but there are no masks included in the kit.

Decals sheet is not that big, but you will get all necessary symbols. Printing quality looks great. One and only marking option is shown on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for the brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

New release should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great choice for modelers who don't have space for the bigger releases. Overall quality doesn't suffer from the size reduction, and you still get assembly options. Yes, it might be tricky for some due to the size, but I think this is also one of the great things here as you get a lot of features in standard plastic.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR DONATIONS WHICH MADE THIS REVIEW POSSIBLE!

Pros

  • Nice molding quality
  • Clever parts division
  • Nice decals

Cons

  • No masks for clear parts
  • Definitely not for old modelers
