This time we are going to talk about ICM 1/35 Leopard 2A6 with Crew (35013). As you can guess from the name, one box packs figurines and tank, both molded in the same scale. ICM doesn't have own German tank, so the plastic comes from Revell. Even though original kit is not new, it is still interesting to see how it looks today. Figurines were a separate set before, but now you can combine them with a tank. Packaging is typical for this brand, so all frames come in plastic bags. There are 246 parts for assembly of tank and 45 parts for five figurines and dog. Let's open everything and take a closer look.
By the way, here you can read review with the separate tank crew set.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.
First frame comes with side skirts, but those won't be handy for today's version. Note premolded features here.
Various panels are molded separately and should be installed on the turret. In some cases it might be worth painting them separately and installing them afterwards.
Turret itself should be glued out of separate panels. There are no interior parts, but some hatches are molded separately and this can be used for figurines placement.
Side skirts are molded with additional steps. Attachment points are quite thin and should be easy to separate.
Main barrel should be assembled out of several parts. In 1/35 scale it is something what is worth replacing with a more detailed item out of metal.
Hull should be assembled out of separate panels too. Premolded features still look fine and deserve good weathering.
Lower hull panels can be found on the separate frame. Note that suspension arms should be installed separately. Here you can see also premolded hatches.
This frame is supplied in two pieces. Separate suspension arms might be also handy for diorama ideas, but overall alignment should be helped with special cut of the installation pins.
Clear parts would be replicated with the film which comes in the box.
As for the tracks, those are made out of vinyl. They look ok for out of the box build, but I think experienced modelers will replace it with metal.
Towing cable is also vinyl. This is a thing that has to be replaced as it will be visible on the finished model.
Scale figures come on the separate frame. The same thing was included in the separate release in the same scale.
Decals are printed on small sheet. Printing quality looks great, but some of those symbols can be replicated with brush for even more realistic appearance. You can see all marking options on the photo below.
Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.
New set should be already available for purchase. I like the whole idea, and Revell plastic still looks good. Two kits should look together, and you can get quite nice diorama project with figures. Nevertheless, there could be a good opportunity to add something extra - maybe external armor or some of the base for diorama. All this can be bought separately, and I would recommend to check some reference photos as there were various "improvements" added to tanks. :)
