ICM 1/35 Kfz.70 with MG 34 (35502)

Today's article is dedicated to ICM 1/35 Kfz.70 with MG 34 (35502). New set comes as yet another version of the German military vehicle in popular scale. I reviewed the previous ones, and they were quite nice out of the box. Fresh release offers a chance to copy car with machine gun on the special stand. Packaging is typical for this brand, so all frames come in one plastic bag. There are 211 + 10 parts for assembly of the vehicle with 137mm length. Let's open everything and take a closer look together.

We are going to start with the biggest frame in this set. Here you will find engine parts as well as some interior bits. In the top section you can also see one-piece main chassis.

New kit is full of small and thin parts. These will require due care, but final appearance would only benefit from such additions.

Wheel rims are supplied on two similar plastic frames. Overall details look quite fine, but you will have to deal with rubber tires which will be shown further in the review.

Separate word should be said about doors which can be assembled in open position. This feature might be handy for some diorama ideas. Roof will be in folded version on the car.

Car body should be glued out of separate panels. Don't worry about alignment as there is a smart design with guiding elements for the proper fitment.

ICM supplies MG 34 on the separate frame. You will also have to drill floor panel in order to install those support bars for machine gun.

Clear frame is packed into a separate plastic bag. Molding quality looks great, but there are no masks included.

Yes, kit features vinyl tires as it was mentioned before. They look okay, but might be worth replacing for even better appearance.

There is no mention on where decals are printed, but they look fine. You will find all necessary symbols here, and two markings can be seen on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

New set should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it continues lineup of nice sets in popular scale. Moreover, there are plenty of features included out of the box, so you just need to carefully assemble everything together. I also like that ICM didn't skip on the things which won't be visible on the finished model. For example, engine might be handy for some diorama ideas. :)
