This time we are going to talk about Eduard 1/48 Bf 109F-4 Weekend Edition (84188). Kit comes as new version of the famous German fighter. Note that we are getting it without PE and masks, but for some modelers such package will be a bit more attractive due to smaller price tag. Packaging is typical for Eduard here, so let's open everything and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with another German aircraft in the same scale.

First frame is dedicated to mix of parts. Here you will find some landing gear elements as well as cockpit parts.
Second sprue is also filled with parts, but those are mostly external elements. Note that wing mechanization is separate, what might come handy in some cases.
Wing is divided into three main parts. External features include recessed panel lines and rivets.
Pitot tube is premolded on one of the panels, so be careful in order not to break it off. Wing tips will serve as guiding elements.
Last grey plastic sprue is dedicated to fuselage halves. Both are molded together with tail fin and cowling panels. External features are similar to what we saw on the wings.
Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag in order to avoid possible damage. Overall quality looks great, but there are no masks included as we are dealing with Weekend Edition kit.
Both decals sheets are printed in Eduard, so overall quality is great. Note that there are also some of the cockpit decals included. You can check all markings on the photo below.
Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.
New model should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a nice choice for modelers who would like to get the famous fighter, but don't need extras in the box. Well, opposite situation can be also the case - you want to use add-ons, so you plan to chose them by yourself. Of course, it will mean extra money spent, but the final result will be worth it. :)
