Eduard 1/48 Fw 190A-4 Weekend (84117)

This kit might look familiar to you, but we have a new release - Eduard 1/48 Fw 190A-4 Weekend (84117). As you can notice, name on the box features a bit more details about which type exactly is copied - aircraft with engine flaps and two wing guns. It comes in popular scale, so some modelers will definitely want this one in their stash. Packaging is typical here, and all parts are separated into several bags. Let's open everything and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with another German aircraft.

Here you can check masks for this model kit.

First frame might look familiar to modelers who already worked with Fw 190A from Eduard. Here you will find mix of parts - from instrument panel up to landing gear wheels.

Next sprue carries external parts such as fuel tanks, landing gear doors and tailwings. Some of those have guiding pins inside for easier alignment.

Today's model features special tab copying frontal section of the engine. If you would like to add more, then there is original Eduard Brassin set with crazy detailing.

Both fuselage halves are molded with tail fin and cowling. Rudder and frontal section of the cowling will have to be added separately.

Wing parts division is typical for this section of the aircraft. For the dropped flaps you will have to get Eduard PE upgrade set.

Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag in order to avoid possible scratches. Of course, you can copy open canopy with those. Today's kit is a Weekend Edition, so there are no masks included.

Both decals sheets are printed in Eduard. Overall quality looks great, and there are some decals for the cockpit. You can check all markings on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. As usual, I show all pages in the video-review.

Yes, we get "another" Fw 190, but it is really nice kit, which should be fun to assemble. As you might remember, Eduard completely revised own "Wurger", so whole plastic is made with help of modern technology. Moreover, even Weekend Edition will give you a nice result. Some modelers will be happy to have a freedom to choose which accessories they will use in the build. Choice of the original accessories is really big, so be ready to decide on what are you going to invest into. :)
Get this and other kits on official Eduard website.
