Eduard 1/72 S-199 Cockpit Bubble Canopy (672289)

This article is dedicated to Eduard 1/72 S-199 Cockpit Bubble Canopy (672289). New set comes as part of Brassin line, but note that it is 3D printed, not casted out of resin. Such approach introduces more features to the tiny objects, and you will see it in the video and photos. As for the cockpit, it should come handy for small scale aircraft made by the same brand. Let's open this box and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with Spitfire from the same brand.

We are going to start with small parts first. I think it is important to remind you that all these features are coming in 1/72 scale. Such things definitely deserve a careful paintwork.

Cockpit floor comes as separate one-piece part with pilot seat. All features look crisp, so it is not bad that some things are printed together with this part.

Cockpit will get its own portion of PE parts too. Note that this is a STEEL fret, which is thinner than usual photoetch. Clear film will be used for the target sight. Decals are printed in Eduard, quality looks fine. Assembly manual is typical for this type of set, you can check all pages in the video-review.

I have to note that original plastic kit looks great even in out-of-the-box version, but there is always somebody who wants a bit more. That's where today's set will come handy. Nevertheless, it will be also demanding for some skills, as minor features will require careful paintwork. In my opinion it is a great add-on for modellers who aspires to build ultimate project with as many features copied as it is possible.
