Today we are going to talk about Eduard 1/48 Spitfire HF Mk.VIII Weekend (84132). Blue box brings us the simple package with no additional accessories inside. Such release might be interesting for modelers who would like to save a bit. Moreover, Eduard offers a lot of upgrades, so it won't be difficult to find what you want to add here. First frame is dedicated to mix of various parts. Note that some are given in several versions, so it will be important to use the right ones.

Next you can see some of the external elements as well as panels for main wheel wells. Even out of the box model build should be quite detailed once you assemble all these parts together.

Both fuselage halves are molded with tail fin, but rudder is separate. Top cowling panel is also separate, but should be glued out of two halves.

Wing parts division is typical, external features include recessed panel lines and rivets. For flaps you will have to buy a separate PE set.

Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag in order to avoid possible scratches. Molding quality looks good, and you can also open the cockpit. Note that Weekend Edition kit doesn't include masks.

Decals are printed in Eduard and carry all necessary symbols for two markings. You can see them on the photo below.

Today's kit comes as nice addition for British fighters lineup from Eduard. It should be easy to build, and even out-of-the-box build would look gorgeous. Nevertheless, you can also add some additional accessories for even more impressive appearance. I recommend to check what Eduard has to offer, because some sets are truly amazing.
