Beemax 1/24 BMW 320i 80 DRM (BX24028)

This review will be dedicated to Beemax 1/24 BMW 320i 80 DRM (BX24028). New kit comes as yet another German racecar from the famous models manufacturer. Look of this 3ER is definitely different from the standard car, and should be fun to build and place on your shelf. I reviewed some of the previous BMW releases from the same brand, so it will be interesting to see what is copied here. Overall packaging is typical, and parts are separated into several bags. Let's open them all and take a closer look together.

First frame comes with large floor panel and cockpit tub. Here you can also find door cards as well as one-piece driver seat.

Big rear wing will be glued out of several parts. Be sure to check the alignment in order to get the right shape/placement. Suspension elements also look fine, even though they will be barely visible on the finished model.

Body shell is a one-piece part, so doors, bonnet and trunk are molded shut. Of course, you will have to delete this bar in the windscreen area.

Note that some parts of the fenders will have to be inserted separately. This is not a hard task, but proper fitment is important for the look of whole car.

Top view gives a perfect chance to appreciate the crazy shape of this car.

Front lip also got its own small frame. Part has few attachment points, what should help with preserving the edges intact.

Brake rotors are molded together with calipers, so you will have to carefully paint those. Wheel rims should be glued out of several parts, and here you can see top covers.

Main section is on the photo above, but this is not all, as you also have chrome lips which are shown on the photo below.

Chroming on those parts looks fine in my opinion and should be sufficient for standard build. Professionals will repaint it anyway. :D

Yes, there are vinyl tires included, and you won't be able to avoid it. Nevertheless, they look okay here, and might be fine for actual build.

Those are slick tires, so overall surface finish looks just fine. Maybe sand them a bit to look closer to real thing, but I think they are okay.

Clear parts looks almost like a real glass. Transparencies are clean and should be great once installed on the car. As you can see on the photo below, masks are also supplied in the set.

Yellow stickers are definitely a welcome addition to the package and should contribute to the overall look of the build.

Kit features two decals sheets. Printing quality is fine, but some areas might be painted if you prefer even more sophistication. Marking guide is printed as separate poster.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

New BMW should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a must-have kit for all fans of racing cars in popular scale. Overall quality is just great, and assembly won't take a lot of time. I wish there would be additional things like engine or driver figurine, but maybe aftermarket will produce those. In total you are getting solid packaging and price is just okay for such quality level.
