This review will tell you more about fresh release - Miniart 1/48 P-47M Dosal Fin Advanced Kit (48042). Kit comes as an aircraft model from the famous manufacturer. Moreover, it is molded in popular scale and continues line of American Jug in various versions. Note that today's set comes as Advanced Kit version, what means some extra bonuses inside the box. Overall packaging is typical for this brand, all frames are sealed into one plastic bag. Let's open it and take a closer look together.

First frame is not that big, but carries some handy parts for the engine bay. Be careful with thin bits, as those might be tricky to separate off the frame.

Next we see fuselage panels on the separate sprue.

Propeller blades also have their own placement. Overall design is interesting because it should be easy to get the right alignment here.

There are guiding elements inside which will help you with proper placement of two large parts.

Cockpit parts can be found on the next sprue. Features are molded in there, so it might require some careful paintwork.

Assembly won't be difficult for those, but be sure to check some references.

Here you can see cockpit floor and some other bits. Keep in mind that there are also some aftermarket upgrades available.

Miniart is also quite generous in terms of external equipment. In the box you will find various fuel tanks and bombs.

All those items should be glued out of several halves, but there are guiding elements which will help you with assembly.

It is also not a secret that some of those items will stay on frames, so you can put them aside and use in other builds.

Landing gear wheels should be glued out of two halves. This might be a good choice for upgrades, if you are eager to get some resin for your build.

What doesn't require the upgrade is the engine. Miniart did a great job, and standard parts should build into an impressive copy of the real thing.

Moreover, it is possible to assemble model in open cowling configuration, what would help to show more inside.

A lot of features are premolded here, so be sure to check some references for the perfect paintwork.

I like that even the smallest parts are looking great and don't have any molding problems.

Both fuselage halves are molded on their own frames. Each comes with tail fin section, but without rudder.

There is nothing inside because cockpit should be assembled separately.

Kit also offers several assembly options, so be sure to decide in advance what you would like to have.

Model stand is not included here, so you will have to find it for the in-flight position.

Wing halves should be glued out of two halves for each side. External features are the same as what we saw on the fuselage parts.

There are guiding pins which will help you with overall alignment here.

Wing mechanisation is molded separately and might be handy for some build ideas.

Advanced Kit also has a special frame which you can see on the photos above and below. The main difference is the open wing gun bays from each side.

Cowling parts should be used for the open engine build version in case you choose this one.

There are two clear frames in the kit. As you can notice, molding quality looks great and it should be possible to open the cockpit on your model. There are no masks or masking templates included in the set though.

Unpainted PE fret carries mix of internal and external bits. These are good to install, so don't be lazy and use all bits supplied. Decals are printed in Cartograf and printing quality looks great. There are even stencils and some cockpit decals included.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. You will also find here marking guides in color.

New kit should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great continuation of US aircraft line from Miniart. One box brings a bit more in Advanced Kit form, so you will definitely find a suitable assembly configuration for your fighter. Overall quality looks great out of the box, and you can build a great copy even with standard parts. As usual, I suggest to get the masks set for clear parts and wheels, as this item will make your life easier during the assembly.
