Miniart 1/35 3t Fuel Truck PmQ-Type (53031)

This review will tell you more about Miniart 1/35 3t Fuel Truck PmQ-Type (53031). As you can guess from looking at the boxart, kit features truck, figurines and fuel equipment in one box. Combine them together, and you will get a nice diorama project in popular scale. Some of those sets were released separately, but now you can get them in one package. All frames come sealed into one plastic bag, so let's open it and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with another unusual combo from the same brand.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.

We are going to start with truck parts. Here you can see the engine, which comes as standard feature and can be even exposed on the finished model.

Front cab also features separate doors. Such thing might be useful to show the interior features, as there are plenty in this kit.

Fuel equipment includes several types of cans, which you can use for adding a bit more interest to the build.

Main chassis bars are molded together with leaf springs. Whole assembly should be easy, but be sure to check the alignment.

Bonnet panels can be assembled in open position to show the engine inside.

Fuel drums will be assembled out of several parts. Overall design should look familiar to some of you as I reviewed the "solo" release before.

Molding quality on all parts looks great, I didn't find any issues here.

Amount of additional fuel equipment is quite impressive, so it might be a good idea to leave some items aside for some future ideas. :)

Both figures are molded on separate frames, parts division is typical for this scale. There are no guiding elements, so be careful while joining everything together.

Truck features plastic wheels, and those should look great in the finished state.

Radiator grille comes in two versions. Both look fine and should be easy to install.

Pioneer tools are coming in several versions too - with or without clamps. As you can guess, without clamps won't stay empty and will be combined with PE.

Rear bed panels come one the separate frame. Note that they are molded together with metal bars, but there is no wooden texture.

This area can be also a good candidate for some weathering ideas.

Clear frame is molded in nice quality, but there are no masks included in the kit.

Unpainted PE fret will be handy not only for the truck, but also for the fuel equipment.

Decals are printed in Cartograf, so overall quality looks great. You can see all three options on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. You can check all pages in the video-review.

New truck combo should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great candidate for some diorama build in popular scale. Overall quality looks as great as in any other release from Miniart, so you don't have to worry about some issues. Model is very detailed, so I would rather recommend it to experienced modelers who know how to work with such things. As for the diorama ideas...well, you see what is shown on the boxart. :)
