AK Interactive 1/35 M1008 Troop Carrier (AK35030)

This review will tell you more about AK Interactive 1/35 M1008 Troop Carrier (AK35030). As you can guess after looking at the boxart, set copies American pickup truck in popular scale. Such a project might be interesting not only as the solo-build, but also as part of some diorama. Moreover, I already saw some modelers doing civil variant with quite good looking results. Overall packaging is typical for this brand, and on the boxart you can also find info that there are more than 150 plastic parts. Frames are separated into several plastic bags, so everything should arrive to you intact. Let's open this kit and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with another kit from the same brand.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.

First frame brings mix of parts, and here you will find one-piece chassis which should be easy to work with. Suspension elements look great and their installation won't take a lot of time.

Front cab and rear bed should be assembled out of separate panels. Note that there are two versions of the front mask, but only one will be used for today's version of the truck.

Door cards look great, and after careful painting you can get a nice result.

Here you can see more parts for the rear bed. Note that door is molded separately, so you can copy the same variant as on the boxart.

Plastic wheels are always welcome in such kit. Those parts also feature some details on the tire walls.

Clear frame looks great, and it is interesting to see whole door molded out of clear plastic. Such a thing might be handy for some what-if ideas for the build.

I am glad to see that AK Interactive included the pre-cut masks sheet into the standard package. Such bonus will help you get a nice paint finish without any extra headache.

Front cab main part comes as one-piece element which should be joined with separate panels. It is packed only in plastic bag, but there is plenty of space in the box.

Another nice bonus - MRE boxes which can be cutout and put into the truck.

Unpainted PE fret will be handy for some fine features on the truck.

Decals are printed in Cartograf, so you don't have to worry about any possible issues. All markings can be seen on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

New truck should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great choice for modelers who are tired from typical subjects for 1/35 scale. AK Interactive decided to go into a different direction and bring something cool. Moreover, it is good to see some bonuses included in the box. As for the upgrades, kit offers you a chance to add a bit more things in the cabin as well as find some engine to install under the bonnet. Figurines can be also a good thing to add, as whole project would look even more impressive.
