In this article I will tell you more about Miniart 1/48 Junkers F13 with Winter Ski Early Prod (48020). New set comes as yet another version of German aircraft molded in popular scale. As you can guess from the name, the main difference will be the winter skies setup for landing gear. This might come handy for some interesting dioramas. Overall packaging is typical for the brand, so all parts come sealed in one plastic bag. Let's open them all and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with the previous version in the same scale.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.
First large frame is dedicated to wing parts, and the smaller one carries some interior elements. Ailerons are molded separately, but overall division is rather standard for such thing.
Next we see fuselage panels. Yes, thanks to the boxy design, whole fuselage is assembled in slightly different way from what we are used to see in aircraft sets.
Engine is still included here and might come handy if you will find a way on how to expose it on the finished model.
Those panels will be needed for the nose section and the cowling. Note that exhausts are premolded here.
Landing gear is given in both wheeled and ski version. For the winter version of course you have to use the latter type.
Last grey frame comes with some other fuselage panels as well as wing ribs. Those will be handy for the transport position if you choose to build one.
Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Molding quality looks great, but there are no masks included.
Small PE fret should be useful for some fine features on your aircraft. Just be sure to have the right tools for those parts.
Decals sheet is quite large and comes from Cartograf. Printing quality looks great and should be easy to work with. All three options can be seen on the photo below.
Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.
New Junkers should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it looks as good as the previous releases, but winter skies should add a bit more sophistication to the look. Just add some winter diorama base and you will have a nice result. Overall quality is great too, and I think there are all necessary items packed in the standard package.
