ICM 1/72 MiG-29 with JDAM-ER Bombs (72144)

New set for today is named as ICM 1/72 MiG-29 with JDAM-ER Bombs (72144). As you can guess from the name here, famous fighter will be packed with new type of bombs. Moreover, there will be some new markings included as well. Packaging is typical here, and all frames come in one plastic bag. Whole model should feature 158mm wingspan and 91 parts for assembly. Let's open everything and take a closer look together.

First frame comes with new parts. As it is written on the cover, kit features JDAM-ER bombs which can be installed underwing.

Air intakes and tail fins are molded separately. External features look okay, but be careful with paintwork on those parts.

Landing gear wheels look not that good, and in my opinion today's model deserves a decent upgrade out of resin. Note also additional missiles which are still included here.

All this armament is always welcome, and it is nice to see that ICM decided not to save money on it.

Fuselage should be assembled out of two halves - top and bottom ones. Premolded features look great even today, but again be careful with paint layers.

Nose cone is premolded and separated into two halves. Such thing will require due care to get the proper look.

Clear parts are packed into separate plastic bag. Molding quality looks fine, but there are no masks included in the kit.

Decals are not that big, but printing quality looks good. Assembly manual is typical for this brand, and I show all pages in the video-review.

New kit should be already available for purchase. Some modelers might say that it is a bit simple in comparison with modern options, but here you get quite unique combination. Out of the box should look good, and it is easy to find aftermarket if you want more. Assembly will require some previous experience from you, so this is definitely not something I would recommend to beginners.
