ICM 1/72 MiG-29 Radar Hunter HARM (72143)

This time we are going to talk about ICM 1/72 MiG-29 Radar Hunter HARM (72143). As you can guess from its name, new version brings us the famous fighter aircraft with HARM missiles. All of this is molded in 1/72 scale and shouldn't take a lot of space on your shelf. Moreover, original kit might be familiar to some modelers as it is present on the market for some time. There are 91 parts which should assemble into a model with 241mm length and 158mm wingspan. Packaging is typical here, all parts come in one resealable plastic bag. Let's open them and take a closer look together.

We are going to start with the new frame which carries HARM missiles. Overall design is typical for those items, so you just have to glue everything together.

Wing, tailwings and tail fins come as single-piece parts, what should make assembly easier.

I like that ICM includes all external equipment in the box. Of course you won't use everything, so some things will stay for future builds.

Fuselage is divided in horizontal axis. Note that nose cone is premolded and you will have to be careful with such design.

Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. There are two parts, so you will be able to open the cockpit. Unfortunately there are no masks in the kit.

Kit features three decals sheets. All of them are printed in nice quality. Assembly manual is typical for this brand, you can check all pages in the video-review.

New kit should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a nice pick for those who would like to assemble the copy of the famous fighter in Ukrainian camouflage. Nevertheless, don't think it will be an easy task, so such project would benefit from some skills on your side. Moreover, some areas can get even more features with help of aftermarket. The only question is whether you would need to go to such lengths or maybe standard package will be enough for you. :)
