Today's article is dedicated to ICM 1/48 Bristol Beaufort Mk.IA (48315). New aircraft kit continues series of twin-engine bombers from the famous brand. I checked the previous versions, so it will be interesting to see what is included here. Moreover, this one promises torpedo with a separate cart. Such thing might be useful for some diorama projects. Packaging is typical for the brand, so all frames come packed into one plastic bag. There are 240 parts which should assemble into a model with 368mm wingspan. Let's open everything and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with another version of the Beaufort.

Watch this video where I show all parts even closer.
Each wing side should be glued out of several halves. Moreover, you will also get some assembly options there, so be sure to pick the right parts.
This frame comes in two pieces, as it carries landing gear wheels and engine. Both should be nicely detailed, but probably for wheels you can find aftermarket with even more features.
Front cowling section should be glued out of two halves. It might be worth making one removable so that you can display the engine.
Torpedo should be assembled out of two halves. As it was mentioned in the beginning, transport cart is also included here.
Overall molding quality looks good, and all attachment points are quite thin. Antennas from this sprue will be also used in the build.
Each engine gondola should be glued out of several parts. On this frame you can also see halves for tailwings and spars for supporting wings.
Inside you will find guiding elements as well as interior features. All these things will come handy for a bit more convincing result.
Each fuselage half is molded with tail fin. External features include recessed panel lines and riveting, what should be useful in 1/48 scale.
Unlike some other brands, ICM also placed some interior features on fuselage halves. I would recommend to bring those out with help of washes application.
Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Overall quality looks great, and I am glad to find masking templates included here.
Decals sheet is not that big, but carries all necessary symbols for several options, which you can see on the photo below. Printing quality looks great, so there is nothing to worry about.
Assembly manual is typical for this brand. You can check all pages in the video-review.
New aircraft kit should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great choice for all aviation fans who would like to build this famous bomber. I wouldn't recommend it to beginners as such big project requires some previous experience from you. Nevertheless, standard package has all things necessary, even masking templates are included. Yes, you can add even more, but out-of-the-box build should look nice too. :)
