ICM 1/48 Luftwaffe Airfield Equipment (48409)

In this article I am going to tell you more about ICM 1/48 Luftwaffe Airfield Equipment (48409). New set comes as another useful add-on from the famous brand. It is molded in popular scale and might be handy for your diorama project with some aircraft. Boxart shows that in one box you will get entrance booth, armament, loading equipment and some service equipment as well. In total there are 132 parts for equipment and 320 parts for armament. Let's open them all and take a closer look together.

First frame is dedicated to mix of various parts. Each box will have to be assembled out of separate panels with premolded handles. Overall details look good even in this form.

Kit also features loading lift as well as crane. Note that chains are molded as plastic parts, what might make some modelers happy as they won't have to deal with metal.

Checkpoint booth is also separated into several panels. There is no wooden texture, so it might be worth to play a bit with weathering.

Bombs sprue might look familiar to some of you as it was featured in some of the previous releases. Overall parts design looks great and should be easy to combine together.

Separate decals sheet will give you all necessary stencils for your armament. As for the black stripes, I know that some of you will try to replicate those with masks. Assembly manual is typical for this brand, and you can check all pages in the video-review.

New combo-set is already available for purchase in Modelimex. In my opinion it is a handy add-on for all modelers who would like to build diorama with aircraft. Moreover, you don't have to use everything at once, so some items might stay for future ideas. Overall quality of the kit looks fine out of the box, so it is just the careful assembly required for a fine result.
