Arma Hobby 1/72 F4F-4 Wildcat (70065)

Today I am going to tell you more about Arma Hobby 1/72 F4F-4 Wildcat (70065). New set continues line of aircraft models from the well-known brand. I assembled one of the previous releases and have to say that it was quite nice experience. New boxing brings different markings with the same parts. Overall packaging is typical for this brand, so everything is closed in one bag. Let's open all the parts and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with another Wildcat from the same brand.

Short note about Operation Torch:

Operation Torch was a major Allied military operation during World War II, executed in November 1942. Its primary objective was to invade North Africa, specifically French Morocco and Algeria, to establish a foothold in the region and put pressure on Axis forces in Europe.

The operation was a joint effort between the United States and Great Britain, with General Dwight Eisenhower commanding the Allied forces. The invasion was launched from various points in the United States and the United Kingdom, with troops landing on the Moroccan and Algerian coasts.

Watch this video where I show all parts even closer.

First frame is dedicated to mix of various parts. Overall design is typical for such model, so you can expect one piece tailwings and nicely detailed cockpit parts. Each fuel tank should be glued out of two halves.

Two fuselage halves come on the next frame together with wing parts. Here you can also see nicely detailed engine which should be visible even with closed cowling.

External features include recessed panel lines and rivets. Inside you will find guiding pins for easier alignment of the parts.

Clear frame carries canopy sections, so you can open cockpit as well. Molding quality looks great, and paintwork should be easy thanks to masks which are shown on the photo below.

Note that landing gear wheels will also get their own masks for better appearance.

Decals are printed in Techmod, so quality looks fine out of the box. Moreover, we get cockpit decals here, which should be enough for 1/72 scale.

You can see all three markings on the photo above. There is also a separate errata with right assembly of the cowling.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

New Wildcat should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is another great release from the famous brand. This is the plastic which can be even recommended to beginners, who would like to have sharp-looking aircraft. Overall quality looks amazing, and assembly should be easy as well. Again, I remind you that you can see build-review on my YouTube channel and check how all the parts fit.
