This review will be dedicated to Tamiya 1/24 Nissan Fairlady 240Z Street Custom (367). As you can guess, new car is based on the previous 240ZG plastic which was molded in the same scale. Nevertheless, fresh release brings a bit more sporty version with some additional body modifications and several styling cues. In my opinion such edition might be interesting for something a bit more custom. Overall packaging is typical for this brand, so all frames are packed into separate plastic bags. Let's open them and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with previous version of this car.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.
Let's start with the first frame made out of black plastic. Here you will find more or less universal parts like door cards, exhaust, suspension elements and interior tub.
White sprue carries floor panel, separate bonnet and trunk as well as seats and steering wheel. Overall molding quality looks fine.
Chrome parts include new thin bumpers, exhaust stack and some of the external moldings. Such quality should be enough for out of the box build.
Taillights and front lenses can be found on the next frame. They look great and don't require additional modifications.
This frame can be named as new one, because here you will find parts specific for Street Custom version. For example, those are new front mask, wheel arch extenders, wheel rims and even new exhaust setup.
Wheel rims should be glued out of several parts, what makes it easier to copy chrome lip. The same can be said about wheel arches as those can be painted separately.
Car body comes as one-piece element with molded in doors. Unfortunately, Tamiya decided to have such design, so interior will be visible only through windows.
There is one thing that can be visible on the finished model - engine under the bonnet. Whole thing is nicely detailed, but you can get some aftermarket for even more features.
Clear parts look great straight out of the bag. The only surprising thing is that there are no masks included.
Maybe that's because all chrome window moldings come as separate parts. Such design should make whole assembly a bit easier.
Kit comes with vinyl tires, but you can also see here metal funnels for air intakes. This is a good add-on for engine detailing.
Decals come on two sheets. The bigger one is a classic decals set, while smaller one brings chrome decals for fine features on your Nissan.
Two marking options are shown on the photo above, but of course you are not limited by only those colors. Assembly manual and background information come in black-and-white. You can check all pages in the video-review.
New Fairlady 240Z should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great choice for modelers who were waiting for a bit more racing/tuned version of this famous coupe. Moreover, one box brings all necessary things together, and you just need to assemble them. Overall quality looks great and should be easy to work with. The only difficult thing will be to actually pick the right color for your build. :)
