IBG Models 1/72 DAC Mk.I (72144)

As a seasoned scale modeler, my excitement was piqued when the new-tooled IBG Models 1/72 DAC Mk.I (72144) landed on my workbench. This isn't just another release from a well-known brand; it's a potential treasure trove! The promise of hidden surprises within the box only heightened my anticipation.
While the overall design of the kit undoubtedly prioritizes buildability at this smaller scale, IBG's reputation for exceptional detail had me eager to dissect every part. The packaging, while adhering to the brand's familiar format with sprues separated into dedicated bags, hinted at a level of organization that would streamline the assembly process. But enough talk – let's delve deeper and unveil the secrets this kit holds!
By the way, here you can read review with tiny otter in the same scale.

First frame is one of the biggest in the kit. Here you will find interior parts. Yes, there is no mistake, and in 1/72 scale kit you will get nicely detailed interior.

Floor is molded on the next frame together with hull side panels. Note that all doors are molded shut and you won't be able to open them.

Closer look at panels shows that suspension elements are premolded.

Brake drums come as separate parts and should be installed on wheels. Note also suspension elements which might require tweezers for install.

Yes, we get plastic wheels, which is really cool feature for this scale. There are even some tire details premolded.

Turret should be glued out of separate panels. There is also some interior included, what is great for open top hatches version.

Kit features unpainted PE fret for external and internal features. Decals look fine and should be easy to work with as they are printed in Techmod. You can see all markings on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

New kit should be already available for purchase. It is first of the many versions of this vehicle and it looks great out of the box. I know, some of you were saying that the scale is too small for interior features, but come on, some modelers want to have fun in this size. Moreover, it might be a good use for some diorama ideas as well. For this price kit is very attractive option, and I recommend it to all fans of AFV kits.
