Eduard 1/48 A6M2-N Rufe Profipack (82219)

This time we are going to talk about Eduard 1/48 A6M2-N Rufe Profipack (82219). As some of you might remember, we checked this kit as part of Limited Edition from the same brand. Now it is time of a bit more accessible version in popular scale. Profipack means that we will get PE and masks in the box, and such things should be enough to get an interesting project. Overall packaging is typical for this brand, so let's open everything and take a closer look together.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.

First frame is dedicated to floats. There are two supporting and one main float, all of them should be assembled out of several parts.

Eduard also included special transport cart. Such item will be useful for displaying the assembled aircraft.

Cockpit should be assembled out of several parts. There are a lot of premolded features, and we also have PE in the box. Engine also looks great.

Both fuselage halves are molded with tail fin. Cowling should be assembled on special plastic template, which you can see in the left section of the frame.

Last grey sprue is dedicated to wing parts. As you can notice, ailerons are molded separately, while flaps are molded in.

Clear parts are packed into separate plastic bag. Molding quality looks great, and pre-cut masks can be seen on the photo below.

Pre-painted PE fret is another useful bonus in this kit. There are a lot of small parts, so be ready to use tweezers.

Decals are printed in Eduard, printing quality looks great. There are all necessary symbols for five options. You can see markings on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

New Rufe version should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is an interesting choice for modelers who would like to build a naval aircraft. Moreover, in 1/48 scale it looks impressive and should be quite a project. Profipack actually provides you with necessary items, but it is possible to add even more with help of original Brassin accessories. I definitely recommend to check them, as some sets can be interesting to install.
Get this and other kits on official Eduard website.
