ICM 1/35 Typ 320 Soft Top (35542)

This review is fully dedicated to ICM 1/35 Typ 320 Soft Top (35542). As you can guess, we get yet another version of the German staff car in popular scale. As we discussed in the previous review of this car, it is just a matter of time to get a version with the closed roof. Well, here it is - in the same scale and the same features. Nevertheless, it is still interesting to see what is new inside. Overall packaging is typical for this brand, so everything is packed into one plastic bag. There are 146 parts which should assemble into a model with 141mm length. Let's open everything and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with open roof version of the same car.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.

First frame is one of the biggest and you will find suspension and engine parts here. Overall quality looks great, but you will have to think on how to expose the engine inside.

This is because bonnet is molded shut as well as trunk and doors. While it was fine on the open roof version, here interior will be less visible due to closed roof.

Roof itself comes on the separate frame together with metal brackets. Part looks fine and deserves some careful work on shading and weathering in order to copy textile material.

Vinyl tires are packed into separate plastic bag. As usual, I am not big fan of those, but they should be okay for standard project.

Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Overall molding quality looks great, but there are no masks for those parts.

Decals sheet is not that big, but you will find all necessary symbols. Printing quality looks fine to me. Assembly manual is typical for ICM. I show all pages in the video-review.

New soft top should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is another nice kit from the famous Ukrainian brand. 1/35 scale makes it a bit more "compatible" with other vehicles and figures, so that you can assemble some kind of diorama. Overall quality looks great out of the box, and I think you will like working with this model.
