Eduard 1/48 Sopwith Camel Comic Profipack (82175)

This time we are going to talk about Eduard 1/48 Sopwith Camel Comic Profipack (82175). As you can guess, new kit brings us a chance to build WW1 biplane in popular scale. Such model should be quite small and won't eat a lot of space on your shelf. Moreover, this is a Profipack, so there are all necessary things in the box. Packaging is typical, so let's open it and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with Mustang kit in the same scale.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.

First frame is packed with engine and cockpit parts. Here you will have pay attention in order to use the right part for your build. All other elements will go into spares.

I am glad to see one-piece front cowling sections here, such parts will help you build a nice model without any gaps in this visible area. All thin parts look fine and machine guns can be replaced with Brassin sets.

Last grey plastic sprue is dedicated to wing and fuselage parts. Overall design is typical, so you won't be surprised by some weird molding.

Clear frame comes in the separate plastic bag. Molding quality looks great. You can see masks on the photo below.

PE fret is typical for this brand, so you don't have to worry about possible quality issues.

Decals sheet comes from Eduard, quality looks great. There are all necessary symbols for six markings. You can see them all on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. You can check all pages in the video-review.

New kit should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great choice for modelers who would like to work on WW1 aircraft, but don't have enough space for the bigger scale. Moreover, this Profipack brings all necessary things in one box, so you can build it straightaway. There are also original Eduard accessories which would help with adding more features, but they will cost more. All in all, today's kit is recommended as nice choice for biplane fans. :)
Get this and other kits on official Eduard website.

Pros

  • Nice molding quality
  • Clever parts division
  • Great decals
  • PE and masks included

Cons

  • Biplane might be tricky to build for some
