Eduard 1/72 F6F-3 Profipack (7074)

This article is dedicated to Eduard 1/72 F6F-3 Profipack (7074). This is a quite famous plastic from Czech brand. Moreover, you might have met it both in 1/72 and 1/48 scales. Well, today we are going to take a look at smaller one which should be a great build even for beginners. Moreover, Profipack features additional accessories, and those will be handy for even better-looking result. Let's open this nice box and take a closer look together.
This is one of our older reviews, so don't be surprised with photo quality. :D

First frame is dedicated to wing parts. Note that lower halves are molded together with wheel wells.

Next sprue is a bit more busy because here you will find engine and cockpit parts. Landing gear wheels look fine and can be replaced with Brassin set.

Both fuselage halves are molded together with tail fin, but left one also features rudder. Cowling section will have to be glued out of two halves.

Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Molding quality looks great and you can see masks sheet on the photo below.

Two PE frets can be considered as traditional bonuses for Profipack. Those metal parts will be handy for fine detailing of your model.

Two decals sheets are printed in Eduard, so you don't have to worry about printing quality. All markings can be seen on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

Today's kit should be already available for purchase. In one box you will get a decent combination of plastic with various accessories which should turn into a nice copy of the famous fighter. Kit is easy to assemble, so such model might be recommended even for beginners who would like to get a nice aircraft into their collection. Yes, plastic is not that young, but it still should be fun to build. :)

Pros

  • Nice molding quality
  • Clever parts division
  • PE and masks included
  • Great decals

Cons

  • Cowling might be tricky to assemble
