This article is dedicated to Eduard 1/48 Eagle's Call (11149). Kit comes as fresh Limited Edition release from the famous manufacturer. In one big blue box you will get a Dual Combo package which will let you build two models in the same scale. Markings choice is also quite impressive, so it will be interesting to open this box and check everything closer. Let's take a look at sprues first.
By the way, here you can read review with another Spitfire boxing.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts closer.
We are going to start with sprue which carries mix of various parts. Here modeler will find tailwings, ailerons, wingtips and even landing gear wheels.
Next we see frame for earlier versions. Here you will find cockpit walls as well as some other external and internal parts.
One more frame comes with mix of parts. Note that some of these can be replaced with original resin which can be bought separately.
Next we see parts for landing gear wheel wells and some fuselage panels. Note that lower cowling panel comes as single-piece element what should make assemble easier.
Both fuselage halves are molded together with tail fins. Note that top cowling covers are also premolded, and you will have to be extra careful while working with these.
Wings feature molded in flaps. If you want your aircraft with dropped flaps - be ready to pay extra for a special PE set. External features include recessed panel lines and rivets.
Clear frames are packed into separate plastic bag in order to avoid possible scratches. Molding quality looks great and you can see masks sheet on the photo below.
PE fret is a typical product for Eduard and will be handy for external and internal features.
Stencils are printed on the separate decals sheet. You can see application guide on the photo below.
Don't be lazy and apply all these symbols on your model.
Main decals sheet is noticeably bigger and features segmentation. I like such design because it will be easier to get the necessary symbols. All marking options can be seen on the photo below.
Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.
New Limited Edition should be already available for purchase. Nevertheless, you should hurry if you want to get one, because such kits get sold out quickly. In my opinion it is really great opportunity to get two new kits together with nice markings inside. Yes, there are no additional bonuses, but it is matter of us being spoiled by previous releases from Eduard. :D Jokes aside, today's combo set will turn into two nice aircraft in popular scale. Don't forget about additional accessories which should make both models even more realistic looking.
Get this and other kits on official Eduard website.Pros
- Nice molding quality
- Two kits in one box
- Huge choice of marking options
- PE and masks included
Cons
- No additional bonuses (I guess we are spoiled by previous Limited Editions from Eduard)
