Arma Hobby 1/72 P-51D Mustang Very Long Range (70073)

Today we are going to check Arma Hobby 1/72 P-51D Mustang Very Long Range (70073). Kit copies the famous Bubbletop canopy with the extra items for range extension. It is still molded in small scale and might be interesting for modelers who would like to have their own copy on the shelf. Packaging is typical for this brand, so all frames are packed into one plastic bag. Let's open everything and take a closer look together.

We start with small new frame which is dedicated to external fuel tanks and also rockets. Each item will have to be glued out of two halves.

Wing and tailwing should be glued out of two halves. There are guiding pins which will help you with alignment of those.

Third frame carries fuselage halves which are molded without tail fin. External features look great for this scale and deserve a nice paintwork.

Inside you will find cockpit details for the walls section. It might be worth using some washes to bring out the structure.

Clear frame is packed separately in plastic bag. Molding quality looks great and of course you can open canopy on your model.

Pre-cut masks come as a nice bonus from Arma Hobbby which will help with fine paintwork on the aircraft.

Decals are printed in Cartograf, so you don't have to worry about any quality issues. There are even cockpit decals included here. Both markings can be seen on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

New kit should be already available for purchase. In my opinion whole package looks like high quality offering which copies the famous aircraft. I like that manufacturer includes all necessary things in the standard package and you don't have to search and buy them separately. Moreover, you can also print your own 3D add-ons as there is a special file link on the assembly manual. New Mustang is definitely recommended for your collection as long as you are able to work with small scale. :)
