Miniart 1/48 P-47N-2RE Thunderbolt Basic Kit (48068)

Today I am going to tell you more about Miniart 1/48 P-47N-2RE Thunderbolt Basic Kit (48068). New aircraft release comes as yet another version of the famous aircraft. It is still molded in popular scale and might be interesting for modelers who would like to have their own copy of the famous Bubbletop. I reviewed previous releases, and it is worth mentioning that overall quality of parts is top notch. Packaging here is typical for Miniart, so all frames are sealed into one plastic bag. Let's open them all and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with Razorback version from the same brand.

First two frames are filled with various parts, so you should remember that some are given in several versions. Moreover, you can build aircraft in flight or parked positions.

Miniart is also generous to supply wide choice of external equipment for your aircraft build. Those elements look great and should be easy to assemble.

Cockpit should look great even without PE parts and resin. There are a lot of features copied in plastic, and they deserve a nice paintwork.

The same can be said about the engine. Don't be confused by "Basic Kit" designation - you still get a nice powerplant to place in front of your P-47.

Each wing should be glued out of two halves, mechanization is molded separately. Cowling is separated by the panel lines, so you should get a nice result.

Both fuselage halves are molded together with tail fins. External features include recessed panel lines and rivets.

Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Molding quality looks great, and you can copy open canopy with those parts. Nevertheless, there are no masks included in this kit.

Decals are printed in Cartograf, so overall quality looks great. There are two markings in the kit, and you can see them on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

It is visible that Miniart did a great job with their P-47, and today's release is yet another proof. Even the Basic Kit gets a lot of things out of the box. Such a package puts to shame some other brands which still try to sell all additional items separately just to earn money from you. In my opinion today's model is a must-have for all modelers who would like to build their own P-47 and avoid buying additional stuff just because kit manufacturer was lazy to do a proper kit.
