Miniart 1/48 P-47D-10RE Thunderbolt Razorback Advanced Kit (48030)

Today I am going to tell you more about Miniart 1/48 P-47D-10RE Thunderbolt Razorback Advanced Kit (48030). New set comes as yet another version of the famous aircraft molded in popular scale. I reviewed the previous releases, but note that this time we are getting "extended" boxing which features various additions. Aircraft itself doesn't require extra introduction as its silhouette is known to all aviation fans. Overall packaging is typical for this brand, so all frames are sealed into one plastic bag. Let's open them all and take a closer look together.

First frames carry the parts which you can also get in the Basic Set as well. Here you will find propeller, mechanization for the wing and some minor elements. Kit has an option of building in-flight version of the aircraft.

Next we continue with something what is really good to have in package - armament. Miniart is not playing weird games with you and gives all necessary items in the standard package.

Cockpit parts are molded on the separate frame. Advanced kit offers an option of building a bit more detailed version if you would like to.

Nicely detailed engine is still here. It might be a good idea to expose it somehow on the finished model, so definitely think about it.

Wing parts division is quite logical here, and you won't find any weird surprises. Note that landing gear legs are offered in two versions.

Advanced Kit also features a new frame which you can see on the photo above. The main feature here is the wing ammo bays for both sides. You can open either of them, and this is really neat thing to have in 1/48 scale.

Fuselage halves are molded on the separate frames, both are designed with tail fins. External features look great and deserve a nice paintwork.

Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Molding quality looks great, and you can even open the cockpit. Keep in mind that there are no masks included in the set.

Unpainted PE fret should be handy for some fine features on your model. Parts can be small in some cases, so be sure to use the right tools.

Decals are printed in Cartograf, so overall quality looks great. There are three marking options included, you can see them on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

New set should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great choice for all aviation fans. Moreover, it can be rightfully named as the best option for the famous P-47 in 1/48 scale. In one box you will get all necessary features, and the only thing you can add is the masks set. Yes, there are also some other aftermarket add-ons available, but the final decision is after you. :)
