Eduard 1/48 P-40E Warhawk Profipack (82241)

This time I will tell you more about Eduard 1/48 P-40E Warhawk Profipack (82241). Set comes as a new-tooled plastic from the well-known brand. For me this aircraft has a special place and I think it would be nice to build one in that scale. Moreover, Profipack is a bit more accessible than previous editions, so it will be interesting to see what is included there. Overall packaging is typical for this brand, and we can open all bags and check parts closer.
By the way, here you can read review with another aircraft in the same scale.

Watch this video where I show all parts even closer.

Everything starts with this frame full of small parts. Note that armament is also here and might be handy for making you model a bit more packed.

If you take a careful look you will notice that exhaust stacks should be assembled separately one by one. It might be a bit tedious, but it also gives you a chance to have a cleaner paintwork.

Next we see landing gear and cockpit parts. Note that wheels are supplied in several versions, and you can also order Brassin replacement for them.

The same can be said about the cockpit. Well, the standard plastic looks great and should be also improved with help of included PE parts.

Wing should be glued out of several parts. Note that flaps are premolded and you will have to buy separate aftermarket set to have them dropped.

Wing tips will serve as guiding elements here. Overall design looks easy to assemble together.

Next comes mix of parts. Here you will find some landing gear parts as well as fuel tanks and minor items.

Main wheel wells can be assembled in two versions, so be sure to check your references. Also note here the front section of the air intake.

Both fuselage halves are molded together with tail fins. On the same frame you can also see one-piece propeller.

Yes, cowling is separated into two halves, and this is really strange design in 2026. Chin panel is affected by this as well, so you will have to spend some time to get a smooth finish.

There are guiding pins inside which should help with alignment.

Clear parts are packed separately. Molding quality looks great, and you can open the cockpit on your model.

Pre-cut masks should be handy for a fine paintwork on the aircraft.

Profipack from Eduard also features prepainted PE fret which will be useful not only in the cockpit, but also with some external features.

Two decals sheets are printed in Eduard, printing quality looks fine, and there are also cockpit decals included. You can see all six marking options on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

New set should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great opportunity to build the famous aircraft in popular scale. Nevertheless, there are several letdowns like a split cowling or premolded flaps, which are strange to see in high-end kit. Yes, there is aftermarket available for fixing this, but this is not a feature which requires additional parts to be bought.
