This article will be focused on Great Wall Hobby 1/72 A-10A Thunderbolt II (L7216). New kit comes as small scale release from the famous brand. Real aircraft doesn't need an extra introduction, and even in this size it will take some space on your table. All the previous releases from GWH were quite nice, so it should be interesting to see how this one is copied. Overall packaging is typical, and each frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Let's open them all and check everything closer.
By the way, here you can read review with Fulcrum in the same scale.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.
First frames carry mix of various parts - landing gear, cockpit and even some sections of the fuselage. Note that the pilot seat should be glued out of two halves.
Various pylon types come on the separate frame. Here you can also see missiles and some minor parts for the aircraft.
Great Wall Hobby decided not to skip on armament, and you can expect full range here. Yes, the fuel tank is also included.
It will be necessary to check the loadout scheme in order to get the right combination of all those weapons.
I have to say that the molding quality on them looks great, and overall parts division won't give you any extra headache.
All this come in 1/72 scale, what might require some due care with paintwork and weathering. There are also stencils to apply, but the final look will only benefit from that.
Both fuselage halves come on the same frame. Note that tail and nose sections are molded separately. External features include recessed panel lines and raised rivets.
Wing should be glued out of two halves. You can also note here the separate mechanization as well as tail surfaces.
Engine gondolas are also separated into several panels. What is good here - one-piece elements for the front and rear of those.
Clear frame is packed into separate box in order to avoid unnecessary damage. Overall quality is impressive, but there are no masks supplied in this kit.
Small PE fret carries only three parts. Well, this might be handy as well.
Great Wall Hobby also included two decals sheets. The bigger one is dedicated to the main symbols, while smaller one carries the stencils. Printing quality looks great.
It is also nice to see the metal weight included here, so you won't have to do a guesswork. Some of the markings can be seen on the photo below.
Marking guides are printed as separate brochures in large format. There are several of them in the box.
Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.
New Thunderbolt should be already available for purchase. In my opinion kit looks as nice as it could be, and you get a lot of useful stuff in one box. Overall quality is top notch, while parts division should help with a better looking result. I like how the whole armament is included here as well, because such things will be handy later as well. The only thing that you will have to find is the masks sheet, as there is none in the box.
