Miniart 1/35 German 3t Cargo Truck 3,6-36S Late Prod (35459)

This article will tell you more about Miniart 1/35 German 3t Cargo Truck 3,6-36S Late Prod (35459). New set continues lineup of these vehicles from the famous brand. Previous releases were quite nice straight out of the box, so it will be interesting to see what is new here. Keep in mind that older releases included engine and detailed suspension, so it should be here as well. Overall packaging is typical for Miniart, and all frames come sealed in one plastic bag. Let's open them all and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with the civil version in the same scale.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.

We are going to start with the front cab parts. Overall parts division is typical for this area, but separate doors will come in handy for some diorama ideas.

Chassis bars are molded together with leaf springs. Front cab panels have guiding elements which will help you with overall alignment between them.

Kit is full of small parts, so don't underestimate this set as something simple due to big dimensions.

I am glad to see plastic wheels included here. Such a thing will look better in the finished state, and should be easier to paint and weather.

New roof comes on the separate frame. Molding quality looks great even on such complex-shaped parts.

Raised walls on the rear section can be replicated with the separate parts which you see on the photo above.

Another pair of main chassis bars and leaf springs come on the next frame. Overall design is similar to what we saw before.

Wooden panels are molded together with metal bars, what should make whole look a bit more realistic. Note that there is no texture on the panels.

Tarp supports are molded on two frames. Those should be easy to install on your truck.

Jerry cans should be assembled out of two halves and PE part. It is nice to have such things included in the standard package.

First tarp sections look fine, I like how surface details are replicated on those parts.

Pioneer tools come in several versions - with or without clamps. This might be handy for some diorama ideas.

Rear section assembly should be quick thanks to a nice design. Just be careful with thin parts as those will require careful separation.

Tarp sides look convincing, but it might take some time to get a smooth connection between separate panels.

Yes, kit also includes the engine and suspension. You can show it by opening the bonnet.

Clear frame is packed separately. Molding quality looks great, but there are no masks included in the kit.

Decals are printed in Cartograf, printing quality looks great. Some of those symbols might be worth trying to replicate with masks.

Unpainted PE fret should come handy for some fine features on the truck. Yes, parts are quite small and you will have to use tweezers in some cases.

All five marking options can be seen on the photo above. Assembly manual is typical for this brand, and you can check all pages in the video-review.

New truck should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great choice for modelers who would like to have this vehicle as solo project or part of some diorama build. Keep in mind that Miniart has some useful figurine sets which can work with today's model. Overall quality looks great out of the box, so it is just a matter of careful assembly and painting on your build.
