This review will tell you more about HobbyBoss 1/700 PLAN Type 094A Jin Class SSBN (87025). New-tooled plastic comes in popular scale and might be an interesting build for modelers who would like to have a copy on their shelf. Overall packaging is typical for this brand, so all frames are packed into separate plastic bags. Let's open them all and take a closer look together.

We are going to start with top hull section. As you can guess, division is done via horizontal axis, but there are guiding pins which will help you with alignment.

Lower section can be seen on the next photo. Overall molding quality looks great, some modelers might want to deepen panel lines, but this is more of personal preference in my opinion.

All other parts are molded on the separate frame. Each fin will be installed into a special slot, so you will get the right alignment.

Superstructure is molded as one-piece, so final result would look more consistent.

Black plastic stand block is included, supports could be seen on the previous frame.

Small history note also tells us about "turtle back" nickname of this sub.

HobbyBoss also provides one PE part - engine propeller. It looks like this part can be left in its original color, as it looks similar on real subject.

Decals sheet is not big either, but you will find all necessary symbols here. Printing quality looks nice. One marking option can be seen on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

New submarine set should be already available in all good models shops. In my opinion it is a decent kit in popular scale. Out of the box you will get all necessary things and just need to get them together. Yes, it might be too simple for some, but this can be also good call to play a bit with additional features.
