ICM 1/35 Humvee M1097A2 Cargo Carrier (35436)

This article will tell you more about ICM 1/35 Humvee M1097A2 Cargo Carrier (35436). New set comes as yet another version of the famous US vehicle. It is still molded in popular scale and comes with plenty of features in the box. Note that this time we get cargo version with closed front cab (doors!!!) and also raised sidewalls. You will find 171 parts inside which should assemble into a model with 138 mm length. Let's open this bag and take a closer look at parts together.

I suggest we start with the new frame first. Here you will find doors, roof panels and also raised sides for the rear. Overall surface details look good, but it will be necessary to get a seamless joint between roof parts.

This frame comes in two pieces. ICM included suspension and seat parts here. Maybe for the springs you can see if they can be replaced with metal.

Next sprue is bigger and carries mix of parts. The most notable ones are the frontal mask and also wheel axles.

Main chassis is molded as one-piece too, what is a great news because you get the right alignment straight out of the box. Windscreen frame is molded together with mirror supports.

Floor panel looks the same as in the previous release, the same can be said about bonnet too. Engine is detailed from the bottom, what should be enough considering that bonnet is shut.

Kit features four vinyl tires. Those look okay, don't have any details on tire walls, but pattern looks fine. I would recommend to get 3D-printed aftermarket for even more convincing look.

Clear frames are packed into separate plastic bags. One is new, but molding quality is great on both. There are no masks or templates in this kit.

Decals sheet is not that big, but you will get all necessary symbols for your vehicle. A lot of them will go inside. You can see two markings on the photo below.

New HUMVEE is already out and available for purchase. In my opinion it is another great release from ICM and it might be a good choice for some diorama build. Manufacturer decided to focus on most important features, so that's why we don't get excessive interior details. Nevertheless, cab will be nicely furnished and detailed with decals. I think this kit is also a good base for some accessories installation, but such thing will require extra money from you. Don't worry - even standard build should turn into a nice-looking vehicle.
