ICM 1/72 Leopard 2A6 Ukraine (72820)

This time we are going to talk about fresh release in small scale - ICM 1/72 Leopard 2A6 Ukraine (72820). Yes, it is another Leo, but this time in a bit more compact dimensions, what might be interesting for some modelers. As you can guess, inside we will get Revell plastic, but there will be also some bonus parts from ICM. Overall packaging is typical for this brand, and all frames come in one plastic bag. There are 167 parts which should assemble into a model with 152mm length. Let's open them and take a closer look at everything.
By the way, here you can read review with bigger scale Leopard.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.

First frame is one of the biggest, and you will find hull parts here as well as some turret elements. Note that there are a lot of items premolded on the top panel.

Floor panel and side armor come on the separate frame. Here you can also see main barrel, which looks okay, but I would recommend to find a metal replacement.

Large turret is also assembled out of several panels, so it is important to check the alignment of those. Hatches are molded separately, but there are no figurines to place here or anything to show inside.

Tracks and wheels come on the separate frame. Yes, tracks will require warming up in order to be bent around drivetrain.

Roadwheels look fine, but be ready to work painting those rubber sections.

Next are the new parts. This frame comes in two pieces and carries supports for slates armor on the turret.

PE fret is unpainted and should be handy for turret and hull panels. Those parts look fine and will help you copy specific modifications of UA tanks.

Decals sheet is not big, but carries all necessary symbols for several marking options. Assembly manual is typical for ICM, and you can check all pages in the video-review.

New small tank should be already available for purchase. Yes, original plastic is not exactly latest release, but it still looks fine out of the box. Moreover, it is nice to see additional items which will help modeler to copy the special upgrades on the tank. Assembly should be relatively straighforward, but I wonder if it was possible to include at least one figurine here. In my opinion such bonus would be very useful even if it was scaled down figurine from the bigger combo-set. :)
