This article will tell you more about ICM 1/35 Studebaker US6-U3 German Service (35493). As you can guess, we get yet another version of the famous truck. I reviewed the previous releases, but this one should be notable for several assembly options and German camouflages. Packaging is typical for this brand, so all parts come in one plastic bag. There are 220 parts which should assemble into a model with 183mm length. Let's open it and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with gasoline truck in the same scale.

Watch this video where I show all parts even closer.
First frame is one of the biggest here and carries mix of various parts. For example, you will get large chassis bars as well as one-piece drivetrain for the truck.
Rear section should be glued out of separate panels. Overall quality looks fine.
Tent cover should be assembled out of three parts, and here you can see front and rear sections. Those wrinkles look fine and might benefit from preshading done.
Plastic wheels is another great thing in this kit. Yes, they don't have weight effect, but final look still would benefit from those parts.
Rear bed should be glued out of separate panels. All parts look great, just pay attention to their alignment during assembly.
Front cab design is also separated into panels and doors. Manual suggests closed doors, but you can try to open those for some diorama ideas.
Rear cover is molded as one-piece element, so you won't have to deal with several parts. Such design looks nice and should be easier to install.
Clear frame is packed into a separate plastic bag. Molding quality is great, but there are no masks in the kit.
Decals sheet is not that big, but don't worry - all necessary symbols are here. Marking options can be seen on the photo below.
Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.
New Studebaker should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great choice for modelers who would like to build US truck in unusual marking. Overall quality of the plastic looks great, and assembly won't be complicated. Moreover, there is some aftermarket available for upgrading various parts. Of course, it is an extra investment, but final look might be worth it. Don't forget about separately sold figurine sets from the same brand, as you can combine them into this project.
