USCP 1/24 Fiat 500 Interior Detail Up Set (24A087)

This time we are going to talk about USCP 1/24 Fiat 500 Interior Detail Up Set (24A087). Original release from Tamiya is not exactly fresh, so there is a huge space for improvement. Well, this new set should help you add more fine features on your model. Moreover, some of the things are not even copied in the original plastic. Packaging here is rather simple - plastic bag with assembly manual inside. Let's open everything and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with Tamiya kit for such project.

Watch this video-review where I show all parts even closer.

Instead of traditional "manual last" look in my reviews, here we will actually check it first. On the first page you can see installation guide for various handles on the dashboard as well as pedals install guide. Note that all original premolded items will have to be sanded off.

The same applies to door cards. Tamiya plastic features rather simple imitation of the handles, so it is good that USCP is replacing those with "proper" elements.

All parts are printed on one base with tall protector tabs from both sides. Note that some elements are provided in three pieces, so you get one spare part. Printing quality looks great and I show those parts from more angles in the video-review.

Here you can take a look at original plastic parts. Those don't looks bad for their age, but USCP helps replace all of the buttons and also add ashtray cover which is not present in plastic. Another cool feature - keys in the ignition lock. On the photo below you can see handles. As I said, they are not bad, but definitely worth replacing with something more sophisticated. Note that small window locks are not even copied in Tamiya set.

New upgrade set should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a great choice for modelers who would like to get something more than standard features. Yes, some parts will require due care, but final result should be worth it. Moreover, those are visible interior upgrades (maybe except of pedals) which should make model a bit more interesting inside.
P.S.: Adding photo and video with how the parts look installed.

In the video below I show the difference closer and explain how parts are installed.
