IBG Models 1/35 Pz.Kpfw.II Ausf.b Light Tank with Fuel Trailer (35080)

This review will tell you more about IBG Models 1/35 Pz.Kpfw.II Ausf.b Light Tank with Fuel Trailer (35080). As some might guess from the name, kit comes as combo set and offers a chance to build tank with trailer attached. This might be a great solo project or a base for some diorama ideas. Overall packaging is typical for this brand, so all frames are sealed into separate plastic bags. Let's open everything and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with another 1/35 scale kit from the same brand.

Watch this video where I show all parts even closer.

First frame is dedicated to the turret parts as well as some minor elements. Note that interior is also copied out of the box, so you can expose it by opening the hatch.

Suspension is relatively simple on this tank, so you won't have some complex engineered parts. Tools are molded together with clamps.

Here we can see parts for the trailer as well as for the top hull section. It is good that top panel comes as one-piece because such design should be easier to assemble.

Yes, lower hull section is also single-piece, you just need to add front and rear walls. On the left frame you can see suspension parts.

Overall molding quality looks great, attachment points are quite thin.

Last frame carries one-piece top section for the turret. As you can see top hatch opening is quite large, so it is good to have interior included.

Separate track links look great, but they will take some time to assemble. Clear parts are also nice, be ready to use liquid masks for those.

It is nice to see PE and metal parts included. Those elements will definitely come handy for some fine features on your tank. Decals are printed in Techmod, so overall quality looks great. Assembly manual is typical for this brand, and I show all pages in the video-review.

New combo-set should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it looks great straight out of the box, and it is nice to have some bonuses included. Yes, it would be good to have figurines as well, but I guess it is not difficult to find German tankmen in this scale. Also be ready to work on tracks, because those will definitely take some time to assemble. :)

  • Molding quality
