IBG Models 1/35 3Ro Italian Truck with 100mm Howitzer and Crew (35065)

This time we are going to check IBG Models 1/35 3Ro Italian Truck with 100mm Howitzer and Crew (35065). As you can see by its name, one box carries several kits in the popular scale. Such combo might be interesting for all fans of the size and time period. Moreover, it can be a good beginning of diorama project. Packaging is typical for this brand, so all frames come sealed in plastic bags. Let's open them and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with another truck in the same scale.

Watch this video where I show all parts even closer.

First frames are dedicated to howitzer parts. Of course, wheels and main barrel won't be needed in the build and can go into spare parts box.

Truck wheels are different in design. As you can notice here, rims are molded with tire walls.

Wheel fenders are molded as one-piece elements. Note also special installation parts for the rear gun.

Figurines come on the separate frames. First soldier is molded in a quite interesting way, where hands are connected and torso is one-piece with legs.

Next figures are similar in terms of quality and details. Some of the parts have guiding elements for easier installation.

There are four soldiers in total, and they can be placed in the same way as shown on the boxart.

Kit features a lot of small parts, so be ready to work with tweezers in some areas.

Yes, engine is also included, and should be quite detailed out of the box. You can see main block halves on the photo below.

Bonnet panels are separate, so this can be used in order to display assembled engine. Large chassis bars will have to be assembled together with separate elements.

Note that front grille frame is molded without mesh because this part will be replicated with help of PE. Wheel

Rear section should be glued out of separate panels. Note that supporting frame is molded as single-piece part.

Here are the plastic wheels which I already mentioned. In my opinion this design is way better than typical vinyl offering.

Metal barrel comes as nice bonus which will come handy for a better appearance.

Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. There are no masks included, so be ready to cover those parts.

Kit also features PE fret for some fine features. Decals are printed by Techmod, so you don't have to worry about possible quality issues. Assembly manual is typical for this brand, and I show all pages in the video-review.

Today's set should be already available for purchase and I think it might be an interesting choice for modelers who would like to assemble unusual vehicle. In one box you will get figurines, vehicle and howitzer all in one scale with some handy bonuses. The only thing needed is the diorama base, and you will have a nice result overall. Of course, this is not a set for beginners, but with some experience final result will look nice.
Get this and other kits on official IBG Models website.
