Arma Hobby 1/48 Hurricane Mk.IIc (40006)

This review is dedicated to Arma Hobby 1/48 Hurricane Mk.IIc (40006). New set is celebrating anniversary of the famous manufacturer. Moreover, the name of the edition hints on the operation "Jubilee" which engaged the aircraft. As you can notice, it is still molded in popular scale, but this time we also get 3D Printed parts which should be useful for additional details. Overall packaging is typical for this brand, so let's open this bag and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with the previous version in the same scale.

Watch this video where I show all parts even closer.

First frame is dedicated to fuselage halves, and both are molded without tail fin. Note that lower tail panel comes as separate part. Such design should help you avoid unnecessary gaps.

Next frame is a bit more busy in terms of parts. Here you will find cockpit walls, tailwing and even landing gear wheels. It is interesting that tires feature some premolded details too.

Last frame is dedicated to wing parts. Note that mechanization is premolded here, and you won't be able to to move anything.

Here you can see all 3D parts which are included inside. All of those will come handy for fine features on your model.

Clear frame is packed into separate bag. Molding quality looks great, and there are pre-cut masks included. Of course, you can copy the open cockpit with those parts.

Decals are printed in Techmod, so printing quality looks great. As there are no PE parts, seatbelts and instrument panel will be copied with decals.

You can see all markings on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

In my opinion we get yet another cool kit from the famous brand. This Hurricane should be fun to build, and it might be interesting even for beginners. Moreover, you get all necessary things in one box, so the only item you might want to get is the PE set or maybe some resin wheels. Keep in mind that even standard build would look great and has a lot of space for various play with weathering and painting.
Get this and other kits on official Arma Hobby website.

  • Nice molding quality
  • Clever parts division
  • Masks included
