Eduard 1/48 Wilder Cat Limited Edition (11175)

This review will tell you more about Eduard 1/48 Wilder Cat Limited Edition (11175). As you can guess from the name and boxart, kit copies FM-2 aircraft in popular scale. It is based on original Eduard plastic packed together with some additional bonuses. For me it was interesting to see what is supplied in the Limited Edition release, so here we are with the nice blue box on the table. Let's open it and take a closer look at all parts.
By the way, here you can read review with Wildcat Profipack in the same scale.

First frame is dedicated to tailwings and elevators. Molding quality looks great and attachment points are thin enough.

Main wheel well should be quite detailed out of the box. Plastic parts feature a lot of premolded details, so be sure to pick them out while painting and weathering.

Engine looks simple this time as it will be hidden in the cowling. You can buy Brassin replacement which will look way more sophisticated.

Wing parts have their own frame. Each side should be glued out of two halves. Note that flaps are premolded. For folding wings you will have to purchase the separate Brassin set.

Two fuselage halves can be found on the last sprue. Both are molded together with tail fin and should be easy to assemble together.

Clear frame looks great out of the box. You can open the cockpit with those parts, and masks sheet is shown on the photo below.

Pre-painted PE parts will come handy for fine features in your cockpit.

For the decals we have so-called Twin Decals edition, where you get all necessary symbols for two models. You can build the second one by buying Overtrees plastic on Eduard website. Both decals sheets are printed by manufacturer, so you don't have to worry about quality issues.

Stencils look great, and there are some cockpit decals for modelers who would like to go this way. All markings can be seen on the photo below.

Here you can see the small overview of all features of the kit.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

New Wilder Cat should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a good package with good value of components inside. Plastic itself should be easy to build, and overall result would look great out of the box. Don't forget about original accessories which can make your aircraft even more realistic looking. Of course, such upgrade will require some money and skills, but final result would be worth it.
