ICM 1/72 URAL-43203 (72709)

This review is dedicated to ICM 1/72 URAL-43203 (72709). New truck kit comes in small scale and continues series of Ukrainian Army releases. This time we get a chance to build a box type truck which might be an interesting choice for some diorama ideas. Packaging is typical for this brand. Inside you will find 119 parts which should assemble into a model with 111mm length. Let's open the box and take a closer look together.

We are going to start with the front cab. As you can notice, this part is molded with doors, bonnet and fenders in place, so you won't be able to open any of those.

Rear section is also one-piece. Some modelers will be happy to see such design as it makes it easier to get the right fitment.

Rear section will be detailed with more parts which you can see on the photo above. Keep in mind that there is no interior.

Black sprue can be considered as "universal" for any version of URAL from ICM. Here you can get parts for the front cab as well as some drivetrain bits.

Plastic wheels should be glued out of two halves. Those should be fine for out of the box version, but you can get some resin replacement from aftermarket brands.

Kit features two clear frames which are packed into separate plastic bags. Overall quality looks great, but there are no masks included.

Decals sheet is printed in good quality, so I don't think you will have any issues here. Note that ICM also supplies separate sections for digital camouflage. Both markings can be seen on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

New small truck should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is an interesting choice for modelers who would like to build something related to the modern conflict. Yes, some might be complaining about absence of the interior, but I am sure that such thing will speed up the assembly process. Moreover, the small scale gives you a good chance to play with some diorama ideas and make some display base for your build.
