Special Hobby 1/48 L-4 Cub Civil (SH48222)

Today we are going to talk about Special Hobby 1/48 L-4 Cub Civil (SH48222). New model comes as yet another version of the famous aircraft in 1/48 scale. As you might remember, we checked military version, and now it is the turn of the civil one. Packaging is finished in the same styling, all frames come in one bag. Boxart also hints that there are markings for four options. Let's open this box and take a closer look together.

We are going to start with large frame which is filled with mix of various parts. Here you will find engine, some of landing gear struts and interior framing.

Next sprue carries wing parts and fuselage halves. Tailwings are molded together with elevators.

There are guiding pins inside and rudder will also help with assembly. Cockpit features some minor features, it might be a good idea to play with weathering here.

Clear frame is packed into separate plastic bag. Molding quality looks great, but there are no masks included, and you will have to buy them separately.

Special Hobby also added resin parts for exhaust and propeller. Note also unpainted PE fret which will come handy for fine features on your build.

Decals sheet is not that big, but you will get all necessary symbols here. Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

New release should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it will be interesting for modelers who wanted to build the famous L-4, but avoid its military version. All markings included in today's boxing look great, even though some will require minor modifications. It is also nice to receive resin and PE parts in the standard package. Don't forget about original accessories which will give you even more features on such small model.
