Brengun 1/144 A-24B Banshee (BRP144020)

This article is dedicated to Brengun 1/144 A-24B Banshee (BRP144020). Model comes as another small scale release from Czech manufacturer. As you can see, this time we get a chance to build American aircraft, which should be interesting to paint. A-24 is a version of SBD for Army, which lacked hook and was painted in different camouflage. Packaging is typical here, all parts come in one plastic bag. Let's open the box and take a closer look together.
By the way, here you can read review with Airacobra in the same scale.

Watch this video where I show all parts even closer.

As you can guess, parts count is not that huge. On the first frame you can see wing and tailwings. Both are molded as single-piece and ready to be installed.

Right fuselage half comes with rudder which will serve as guiding element. Note that cowling frontal section is molded as single-piece part. There are two versions included.

Canopy comes as one-piece element. There are no masks or templates in this kit. Decals sheet looks fine and should be easy to work with. You can see markings on the photo below.

Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.

New "Banshee" should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is an interesting choice for those who have a good eyesight. Moreover, there are plenty of spots where you can add more with help of scratchbuilding. The only thing I would be happy to see in such model is the masks set, because it will make whole paintwork process a lot easier.
Get this and other kits on Brengun website.

Pros

  • Nice molding quality
  • Clever parts division
