Today we are going to talk about Hauler 1/48 Challenger 2 Upgrade Set (HLX48406). While original plastic looked fine, it still offers not all features needed. Moreover, there are some things which could be better in this scale. Well, Czech manufacturer usually helps to fix all of this with their sets, and this time we check one for Challenger 2. Model will be big even in 1/48 scale, so let's open the package and see what will be replaced or upgraded.

First of all I would like to take a look at resin parts. Hauler included fuel tanks, which would look more convincing in comparison with original parts. Other minor parts will be used both on turret and hull.
Next we can see two unpainted PE frets. Both are unpainted, and those are typical Hauler products, so you shouldn't be worried about quality problems. Note that some parts are very small, and you will have to use tweezers. Assembly manual is typical for this brand. I show all pages in the video-review.
New release should be already available for purchase. In my opinion it is a must-have for all modelers who would like to have more fine details on their model. This is definitely not something I would recommend to beginners. Some of the parts will require cutting and sanding original plastic, so you should be ready for such thing. In my opinion today's Upgrade Set will noticeably influence the appearance of your model and therefore might be a good investment into the project.
